Eye Care

Eyes are the doorway to your sole and personality.  When you first meet and greet people, they make eye contact with you.   We need to look after the skin around our eyes as they are very sensitive, delicate and very different from our other facial skin areas as an eye area can commonly become irritated when exposed to certain products or ingredients.

Eyelids and under-eyes have the thinnest skin on the entire body – only 0.5 mm thick.   The eye areas have virtually no oil glands making the eye skin much more prone to dryness.  Did you know the first area to age are the eyes? Why do my eyes get puffy?

Why should I use an Eye Cream when I use a face cream?

A face creams purpose is to treat dryness and by trapping moisture into the skin preventing its escape. They have a range of textures from light to heavier creams.

An Eye Cream has a consistency to only been used on fragile skin around the eyes.  They do not have irritants ie fragrance.  They are formulated to combat crow’s feet, puffiness, dark circles with low concentrations.

How do I apply and Eye Cream?

As your eyes need a gentle application, place a small amount onto the tips of your ring finger next to your pinkie finger (offers a gentler touch).  Softly dab from under your inner eye outwards, then softly dab upper eyelid from inner corner or eye and outwards and down to outer eye area (where crow’s feet may occur).  Be careful not to apply to close to the eye.  A little Eye Cream is best as a lot may engulf your eye as your eye area is constantly drawing any creams up or downwards towards the eyes.
